When my son was playing little league, he struggled with hitting, despite receiving hitting lessons and attending the batting cage. On days where there was bad weather, he was stuck inside and could not practice hitting. There were times when I nor his teammates were available to pitch to him. His training would stop in these circumstances. As a father and little league coach, I felt bad for him in practice and during his games. I brainstormed on ways I could help him improve making contact with the baseball. Because of these and other constraints, a need arose to eliminate the constraints to his hitting training and the revolutionary The Hitting String was born.
